Fixed Pitch Propeller
Weitong Marine designs and supplies various kinds of fixed pitch propellers for container ships, tankers, tug boats, trawlers, fishing boats and yachts, etc. Related components for the fixed pitch propeller includes:nozzle, shaft, stern tube, shaft seal and bearing, water lubrication system, torque measurement system, blocking device, shaft brake, and grounding device.
Fixed pitch propellers can be produced with any required blade number, wight from hrndreds of kilos to 140 tonnes and size from 0.5 to 12 meters.
When design a propeller, we need to take the following into consideration:
♦Efficiency (related to speed)
♦Cavitation behaviour (related to noise)
♦Pressure pulses on the hull (related to vibrations)
♦Meeting the strenght requirements.
Propeller Design Philosophy
FP propellers meet these demands, and provide a wide variation in speed and power densities for any type of ship. Our design experience covers a range of vessel applications. Including high-powered fast contenerships, tankers, bulk cariers and cruise liners.     
We have extensive hydrodynamic knowledge and have developed design tools based upon years of experience with calculations, model test results, and full scale measurerments. Our research and development efforts are dedicated towards continuous improvement in the dydrodynamic design of our propellers. To achieve this goal, we co-operate with research institutes and universityies in joint rearch projects. Our aim is to improve our knowledge and full scale expeerince, and to improve our desgn and anylysis methods, including Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD). We also supply propulsion solusions and a wide array of propusion equipments, such as shaftlines, shaftline accessories, and rudders.
